PSL 8 Final



The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 season came to a thrilling end today, with the much-awaited final match taking place at the National Stadium in Karachi. The two teams that made it to the final were Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars, and fans from all over the country eagerly awaited the outcome of the match.



The atmosphere at the stadium was electric as fans from both teams came out in full force to cheer their favorite players on. The excitement in the air was palpable, with spectators waving flags, chanting slogans, and wearing colorful jerseys of their respective teams.

The match started with Multan Sultans winning the toss and deciding to bat first. The team got off to a decent start, with opener Mohammad Rizwan scoring 45 runs off 31 balls. However, the team suffered a major setback when Rilee Rossouw was dismissed for just 3 runs, leaving them struggling at 82/4.

But the team managed to recover thanks to some brilliant batting by Sohaib Maqsood, who scored a stunning 85 runs off just 52 balls. He was ably supported by Khushdil Shah, who chipped in with 32 runs off 15 balls. Thanks to their heroics, Multan Sultans were able to post a challenging total of 175 runs for the loss of 5 wickets.

In reply, Lahore Qalandars got off to a shaky start, losing opener Fakhar Zaman for just 4 runs. However, they managed to steady the ship with some solid batting by Agha Salman and Mohammad Hafeez. Salman scored 50 runs off 39 balls, while Hafeez contributed 52 runs off 37 balls.




But the turning point of the match came when Sohail Tanvir dismissed both Salman and Hafeez in the same over, leaving Lahore Qalandars struggling at 129/4. Despite some valiant efforts by the lower order, the team was eventually bowled out for 154 runs in the 19th over, handing Multan Sultans a 21-run victory.

The hero of the match was undoubtedly Sohaib Maqsood, who was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant batting performance. He had earlier been named the Player of the Tournament for his consistent performances throughout the season.

The victory was a historic one for Multan Sultans, who had never won the PSL title before. It was also a sweet moment for their captain Mohammad Rizwan, who had led the team admirably throughout the season.
